In addition to her performance career, Alexis maintains an active teaching studio. She has recently relocated to Portland, Oregon, and is currently accepting new students. She teaches flutists of all ages and ability levels, from beginning to advanced students.

As a teacher, she is passionate about enriching the lives of her students through musical study. She believes in emphasizing creative music-making with a strong basis in the fundamental aspects of flute-playing, especially with regard to the cultivation of a consistently beautiful sound with fluid technique. She wants to aid her students in achieving their very best in performance and grow both as individuals and musicians.
